Volleyball Recap: Hastings Comes Up Short

Hastings extended their losing streak to four on Saturday, dropping them down to 3-17. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Tekamah-Herman. If Hastings was looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to Tekamah-Herman when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Tekamah-Herman, the win snapped their losing streak at three matches and leaves them with a 5-18 record. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory they have posted since September 4th.

Tekamah-Herman was led to victory by Maryn Paul and Addison Stansberry. Paul had 18 digs and one assist, while Stansberry had 13 digs. Those 13 digs gave Stansberry a new career-high.

Hastings didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Arlington on the 4th. As for Tekamah-Herman, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Beatrice on the 4th.
