Football Recap: Grace Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Grace Christian Academy extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 0-3. They had to suffer through a 51-7 loss at the hands of the Vidalia Heritage Academy Eagles. The Cougars were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 51-0.

As for Vidalia Heritage Academy, they now have a winning record of 2-1. 51 seems to be a good number for them as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.

Jake Adams was nothing short of spectacular: he threw for 212 yards and four TDs on perfect 8-for-8 passing, and also punched in one rushing score. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in passer rating (177.1). Dylan Green helped Adams out on the ground, rushing for 85 yards and one score.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Grace Christian Academy will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Georgia Christian at 7:30 p.m. on the 19th. As for Vidalia Heritage Academy, they will head out to challenge David Emanuel Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Vidalia Heritage Academy will need to watch out since David Emanuel Academy has now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
