Softball Recap: West Jessamine Takes a Loss

The West Jessamine Colts came up short against the Greenwood Gators on Thursday and fell 8-3. The Colts have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Addi Vahle was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs and one triple. That triple marked the first that she hit this season. Emerson Collins was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

West Jessamine's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Greenwood, they pushed their record up to 14-3 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, West Jessamine is taking a road trip to take on Henry Clay at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Greenwood, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Daviess County at 6:00 p.m.
