Volleyball Recap: NorthPointe Christian Takes a Loss

If NorthPointe Christian was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Godwin Heights on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Mustangs took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the East Grand Rapids Pioneers on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pioneers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 last Tuesday.

NorthPointe Christian has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. As for East Grand Rapids, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-5 record this season.

NorthPointe Christian will challenge Hopkins at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for East Grand Rapids, they have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against West Catholic on the 25th.
