Volleyball Recap: Wellington's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak at Home

Wellington and Boca Raton squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Wellington had to settle for second. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bobcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wolverines of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2022.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-14, 20-25, 25-9.

Michael Swiderski paced Wellington's offense, picking up nine kills. Swiderski got some help from Nico Martinez and his 11 assists.

Wellington's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-15. As for Boca Raton, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season.

Wellington does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Boca Raton, they have already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Seminole Ridge on the 13th.
