Softball Game Preview: Polk County Wolverines vs. East Rutherford Cavaliers

The Polk County Wolverines will venture away from home to take on the East Rutherford Cavaliers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Polk County is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.

Last Wednesday, Polk County came up short against Chase and fell 9-4.

Polk County saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Junie Mitchell, who went 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, East Rutherford's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They fell 8-3 to York.

Polk County's loss dropped their record down to 10-10. As for East Rutherford, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-8.

Polk County came out on top in a nail-biter against East Rutherford when the teams last played back in April of 2024, sneaking past 5-4. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolverines since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
