Football Recap: Port St. Lucie Takes a Loss

There was early excitement for Port St. Lucie after they claimed the first score on Thursday, but it was Lincoln Park Academy who ended up claiming the real prize. The Port St. Lucie Jaguars and the Lincoln Park Academy Greyhounds were almost perfectly matched up, but the Port St. Lucie Jaguars suffered a 13-12 defeat. The loss continues a trend for the Jaguars in their meetings with the Greyhounds: they've now lost four in a row.

Port St. Lucie's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Lincoln Park Academy, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Port St. Lucie will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Pine at 4:00 p.m. on March 25th. Port St. Lucie is facing Pine at the right time seeing as Pine is stuck on a four-game losing streak. Lincoln Park Academy also won't see the field for a while: their next matchup is against Centennial at 5:00 p.m. on March 26th. The two teams have allowed few points on average, (Lincoln Park Academy 12.3, Centennial 9.9) so any points scored will be well earned.
