Basketball Recap: Grant's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Grant extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from RONALD MERRILL. The Grant Lancers pulled ahead with a 66-65 photo finish over the Providence Pioneers on Saturday thanks in part to MERRILL, who posted 26 points and seven boards. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played.

NOAH LETT was another key player, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. Those 11 boards gave him a new career-high.

Grant has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 11-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.6 points per game. As for Providence, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-12.

Grant wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, an 87-56 win against Verdugo Hills on the 3rd. As for Providence, they are taking a road trip to take on EF Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Providence knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully EF Academy likes a good challenge.
