Volleyball Recap: MMI Preparatory School Takes a Loss

MMI Preparatory School was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Greater Nanticoke Area Trojans, falling 3-0. If MMI Preparatory School was looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to Greater Nanticoke Area when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

MMI Preparatory School was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Greater Nanticoke Area work for it, especially in the third set. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-11, 28-26.

Cassidy McDermott paced MMI Preparatory School's offense, picking up nine kills. McDermott got some help from Arushi Solgama and her ten assists. McDermott was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

MMI Preparatory School's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Greater Nanticoke Area, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

MMI Preparatory School didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Berwick on the 23rd. As for Greater Nanticoke Area, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Wyoming Area on the 24th.
