Basketball Recap: Cedar Hill Takes a Loss

Cedar Hill saw some tournament action on Thursday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 69-68 to the Wilson Wildcats. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Longhorns came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 81st, while the Wildcats are ranked 408th).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Wilson to victory, but perhaps none more so than Michael Best, who went 8 for 14 on his way to 23 points and three steals. Luke Walsh was another key player, going 7 of 16 on his way to 17 points along with seven boards and three steals.

Cedar Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 12-6. As for Wilson, the victory got them back to even at 9-9.

Cedar Hill didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 66-56 win against Wylie East on the 26th. Wilson has also already played their next contest, a 58-53 victory against Nimitz on the 27th.
