Brooks took a 12-run defeat the last time they faced off against Proviso East, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Eagles came out on top in a nail-biter against the Pirates on Monday, sneaking past 4-2. The victory was familiar territory for the Eagles, who have now won three matchups in a row.

Brooks pushed their record up to 10-6 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for Proviso East, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-15.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brooks will head out to face off against Phillips at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Proviso East, they will venture away from home to square off against Addison Trail at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
