After a string of four wins, John Curtis Christian's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Holy Cross Tigers by a score of 3-2. Patriots fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Tigers since on Wednesday.

Bryce Hebert spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on three hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Nate Alario was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing Three bases. while going 2-for-3. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in May of 2024. Connor Micheu also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

John Curtis Christian's loss dropped their record down to 13-6. As for Holy Cross, their victory was their ninth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-0.
