Enfield barely beat RHAM the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 13-2 margin over the Raptors on Thursday. Considering the Eagles have won five matchups by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Payten Stebbins made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits. Stebbins was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.
In other batting news, Enfield got a massive performance out of Emily Lyver, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. That home run was Lyver's first of the season. Maddy Page was another key player, going 3-for-6 with three runs, two doubles, and two RBI.
Enfield always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .533. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as RHAM only posted an OBP of .394.
Enfield pushed their record up to 8-1 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for RHAM, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Enfield will welcome E.O. Smith/Tolland at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. As for RHAM, they will host Lewis Mills at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
