Washburn extended their postseason success on Saturday against Assumption. They never let the Royals get on the board and left with a 1-0 win. Washburn's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last four matchups.

Washburn's victory bumped their record up to 11-1-1. As for Assumption, the loss snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 9-4-1 record.

Looking ahead, Washburn will challenge Xavier on Thursday. Xavier will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Washburn surely won't give up without a fight. Assumption does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
