Softball Recap: Legacy Falls Short of Foothill in the Playoffs

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Legacy couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took an 11-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Foothill Falcons on Friday. The Longhorns were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Falcons earlier this season, when they won 12-11.

Aofia Noa and Madison Castellon did some serious damage despite the final result: Noa went 3-for-4 with three RBI and one double, while Castellon went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Victoria Beebe, who went 1-for-5 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Legacy's loss dropped their record down to 22-8. As for Foothill, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 14-11-1.

Legacy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Foothill, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 12-2 defeat against Basic on the 16th.
