Baseball Recap: Columbia's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak at Home

Columbia's last matchup with Sumrall could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Tuesday. Columbia lost 7-0 to Sumrall. The match marked the first time this year in which the Wildcats were not able to get on the board.

Columbia's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-5. As for Sumrall, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-6.

While Columbia had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
