It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Miami ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Catoosa Indians 12-11. The Wardogs' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

The team relied heavily on Chase McCormick, who scored two runs while going 4-for-5. He has become a key player for Miami: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least three hits, but 1-5 otherwise. Rhett Howe also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.
