Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Mullins

If Marion wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Mullins, they should've done a better job of containing Dakarai Worley. The Mullins Auctioneers walked away with a 66-56 victory over the Marion Swamp Foxes on Saturday thanks in part to Worley, who dropped a double-double with 24 points and 12 boards. He is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last three games he's played.

Mykell Raysor was another key player, putting up eight points and five rebounds. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in blocks (two).

The win (which was Mullins' third in a row) raised their record to 17-4. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.7 points over those games. As for Marion, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 10-13 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mullins will take on Atlantic Collegiate Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Marion, they will challenge East Clarendon at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
