Preview: Norwalk Bears vs. Ridgefield Tigers
Norwalk is 2-8 against Ridgefield since December of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Norwalk Bears just played last night, but they'll still head out to face the Ridgefield Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on January 19th. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a five-game winning streak alive.
It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Norwalk ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They came out on top against Staples by a score of 78-71. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Meanwhile, Ridgefield can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent contest on Tuesday. They took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 71-43 win over St. Joseph. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Ridgefield has posted against St. Joseph since February 6, 2018.
Norwalk's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Ridgefield, they pushed their record up to 8-1 with that win, which was their 11th straight at home.
Things could have been worse for Norwalk, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 58-41 loss to Ridgefield when the teams last played back in January of 2023. Can Norwalk avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
