Softball Recap: Canfield Snags 13th Victory in Last 16 Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Boardman, Canfield was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the Jackson Polar Bears 8-6. This was payback for the Cardinals, who suffered a 5-4 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Canfield is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 16 contests. That somehow still isn't as good as their 20-4-1 record this season. As for Jackson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 17-7-1.

Canfield and Jackson should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. The Cardinals will square off against Westlake at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (20 vs. 321). Meanwhile, Jackson (ranked 48th) will meet Whitmer (ranked 221st) at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
