Volleyball Recap: Naperville North Takes a Loss

Naperville North was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hinsdale Central Red Devils. The Huskies were not able to make up for their loss to the Red Devils from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Hinsdale Central's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Harry Hughes, who had three digs and one block. Hughes has been hot for a while, having also posted 15 or more assists the last nine times he's played. Dane Beringer also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

Naperville North's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Hinsdale Central, their win bumped their record up to 3-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Naperville North will challenge Metea Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hinsdale Central, they will take on York at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
