Softball Recap: Baraboo Takes a Loss

Baraboo managed to slip by Two Rivers the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Thunderbirds lost 14-3 to the Purple Raiders on Saturday. The Thunderbirds were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Purple Raiders apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Baraboo has also been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season. As for Two Rivers, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

Baraboo wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 5-3 victory against Columbus on the 10th. As for Two Rivers, they will challenge Brillion at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Purple Raiders 3.3, the Lions 2.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.
