Morenci has gone a perfect 10-0 against Bisbee recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. Morenci is taking a road trip to take on Bisbee at 4:00 p.m. Morenci has given up an average of 7.2 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Morenci is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 16 runs on Thursday, they were much more limited against Empire on Friday. They lost 11-1 to the Ravens. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Bisbee and Tombstone meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Thursday. Bisbee walked away with a 10-7 victory over Tombstone.

Jordan Holly spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and four unearned) runs on five hits and racked up six Ks.

On the hitting side, Alyssa Lopez and Maria Lopez did most of the damage at the plate: Alyssa scored three runs and stole three bases while going 5-for-5, while Maria went 3-for-5 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those five hits gave Alyssa a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Isabella Solis, who scored a run and stole three bases while going 3-for-4.

Bisbee was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .475. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Tombstone only posted a batting average of .300.

Morenci's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Bisbee, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season.

Everything went Morenci's way against Bisbee when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Morenci made off with a 13-3 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Morenci since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
