After soaring to 11 runs the game before, Placer was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They came up short against the Oakmont Vikings, falling 7-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Hillmen in their meetings with the Vikings: they've now lost eight in a row.

Placer's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Oakmont, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-3.

Placer has already played their next matchup, a 15-4 victory against Twelve Bridges on the 7th. As for Oakmont, they will venture away from home to face off against Colfax at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
