After losing to Lincoln the last time they met, Springfield decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Senators walked away with a 7-4 win over the Railsplitters on Tuesday. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since March 22, 2017, but that streak is no more.

Mia Volpert was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up four earned runs off six hits (and only one walk).
