Basketball Recap: Central Decatur Drops Season-High Score on Nodaway Valley

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Central Decatur). They pulled ahead with a 65-64 photo finish over the Nodaway Valley Wolverines on Friday. This was a revenge game for the Cardinals: when they faced off against the Wolverines back in January, they had to take a 61-58 defeat.

Central Decatur's win bumped their record up to 11-8. As for Nodaway Valley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-15 record this season.

Coming up, Central Decatur will square off against Lamoni at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Nodaway Valley, they will face off against St. Albert at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Albert will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Nodaway Valley surely won't give up without a fight.
