Baseball Game Preview: Tempe Buffaloes vs. Cortez Colts

Tempe is on a six-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and Cortez a five-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Monday. The Tempe Buffaloes will look to defend their home field against the Cortez Colts at 4:00 p.m. Tempe has given up an average of 19.7 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Tempe is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They lost 20-4 to Dysart on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Cortez came up short against Washington on Friday and fell 7-4.

Aeryk Snyder was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Andre Shepard, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Cortez's loss dropped their record down to 2-9-1. As for Tempe, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6.
