Baseball Recap: East Juniata Takes a Loss

East Juniata lost against Upper Dauphin Area back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. East Juniata lost 14-4 to Upper Dauphin Area. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Wyatt Weges and Nathan Carolus did some serious damage despite the final result: Weges scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Carolus scored a run while going 3-for-3. That's the most hits Carolus has posted since back in April of 2024.

East Juniata's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Upper Dauphin Area, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Juniata will take on Sugar Valley Rural at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. East Juniata is facing Sugar Valley Rural at the right time seeing as Sugar Valley Rural is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Upper Dauphin Area, they will challenge Newport at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Upper Dauphin Area's pitchers better be ready for this one: Newport has averaged an impressive 8.6 runs per game this season.
