Baseball Game Preview: Bedford Bisons vs. Central Dragons

Bedford hasn't had much luck against Central recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Bisons will head out to face off against the Dragons at 4:30 p.m. Bedford has given up an average of 7.7 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Bedford lost 11-3 to Central Cambria on Monday.

Central came out on top against Penns Valley Area on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive nine-run fourth inning. The Dragons put the hurt on the Rams with a sharp 16-6 victory. The Dragons haven't had any issues with the Rams recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

The team relied heavily on Wyatt Dilling, who went a perfect 5-for-5 with three stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. He has become a key player for Central: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 6-8 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Jesse Muthler, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

Central now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Bedford, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-10.

Bedford couldn't quite get it done against Central when the teams last played back in April of 2023 as they fell 7-2. Can the Bisons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
