Softball Recap: Glacier Peak Gets the Win

While Glacier Peak's win against Cascade wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Grizzlies had just enough and edged out the Bruins 5-4. The Grizzlies haven't had any issues with the Bruins recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Emma Hirshorn spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on nine hits and racked up 13 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Lauren Hufford, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Morgan Udy was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs.

Glacier Peak's win bumped their record up to 12-5. As for Cascade, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season.
