Basketball Recap: Stratford Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Carter Allen and Darrin Bailey

If Stratford was feeling good fresh off their 71-34 takedown of RePublic last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Stratford Spartans took a hard 55-41 fall against the Whites Creek Cobras on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Cobras this season, with their most recent loss being a 60-50 defeat back in January.

Darrin Bailey and Carter Allen certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Bailey posted nine points, while Allen put up six points.

Malachi Benton went supernova for Whites Creek, going 7-for-10 en route to 19 points. That's the most points Benton has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Noah Hughes, who scored ten points.

Stratford's record now sits at 7-17. As for Whites Creek, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-10.

Stratford didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 51-41 victory against KIPP Nashville Collegiate on the 22nd. As for Whites Creek, they have also already played their next matchup, a 57-53 loss against East Nashville Magnet on the 22nd.
