Football Recap: White House-Heritage Victorious

White House-Heritage was not the first on the board on Friday, but they got there more often. They skirted past the Maplewood Panthers 11-8. The Patriots have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Panthers, too.

Xavier Murray threw for 103 yards and one TD. Logan McCarter was his top target, picking up 57 receiving yards and one score.

Despite the loss, Maplewood still got an impressive performance from Jamarious Mays, who rushed for 79 yards and one touchdown.

White House-Heritage's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Maplewood, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Coming up, White House-Heritage will face off against Whites Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Maplewood, they will take on Kenwood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Knights' defense has only allowed 13.5 points per game this season, so the Panthers' offense will have their work cut out for them.
