Basketball Game Preview: Eastside Eagles vs. Wade Hampton Generals

The Eastside Eagles are taking a road trip to take on the Wade Hampton Generals at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Eastside and ten for Wade Hampton.

On Tuesday, Eastside came up short against Riverside and fell 38-30. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 98th, while the Warriors are ranked 20th).

Meanwhile, Wade Hampton lost to Boiling Springs on the road by a 52-36 margin on Tuesday.

Eastside's defeat dropped their record down to 6-16. As for Wade Hampton, their loss dropped their record down to 2-13.

Eastside took their victory against Wade Hampton in their previous meeting back in January by a conclusive 81-57. The rematch might be a little tougher for Eastside since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
