Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Marist walked away with it. Their defense stepped up to hand the Wayne County Yellow Jackets a 9-0 shutout on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for Marist, who have now won 11 contests by three goals or more so far this season.

Marist pushed their record up to 15-3 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 66 goals over those ten matchups. As for Wayne County, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season.
