Basketball Recap: Fort Osage Takes a Loss

Fort Osage lost against Platte County back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Fort Osage Indians took a hard 55-40 fall against the Platte County Pirates. That's two games in a row now that the Indians have lost by exactly 15 points.

This is the second loss in a row for Fort Osage and nudges their season record down to 13-8. As for Platte County, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fort Osage will venture away from home to face off against Grain Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Grain Valley will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something Fort Osage surely won't give up without a fight. As for Platte County, they are taking a road trip to square off against Ruskin at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Platte County is facing Ruskin at the right time seeing as Ruskin is stuck on a 17-game losing streak.
