Basketball Game Preview: St. Martin Yellow Jackets vs. Pearl Pirates

Last Thursday, St. Martin came up short against Ocean Springs and fell 51-41. The Yellow Jackets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Pearl came tearing into Friday's game with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 64-54. That's two games straight that the Pirates have won by exactly ten points.

Pearl pushed their record up to 22-7 with the win, which was their 16th straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.2 points over those games. As for St. Martin, their loss dropped their record down to 17-12.
