Soccer Recap: Madison East Comes Up Short

Madison East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Madison West Regents, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, Madison East can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin soccer rankings (they are ranked 136th, while Madison West are ranked fourth).

Madison East's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Madison West, their win bumped their record up to 8-1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Madison East will face off against Sun Prairie at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Madison West, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Middleton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Middleton's defense has only allowed 0.5 goals per game this season, so Madison West's offense will have their work cut out for them.
