Recap: Wilson Warriors vs. Brooks Lions

The Wilson Warriors''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight loss. They were outmatched by Brooks at home and fell 63-28. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Wilson in their matchups with Brooks: they've now lost seven in a row.

Garrett Burrough continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Brooks, rushing for 125 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries. Burrough is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last five games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Bam Campbell, who rushed for 37 yards and three touchdowns.

Wilson's loss was their tenth straight at home (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 1-7. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 14.4 points per game. As for Brooks, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wilson will take on West Morgan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. West Morgan knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past eight games -- so hopefully Wilson likes a good challenge. Brooks will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Deshler at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Alabama (Deshler is ranked 154th, while Brooks is ranked 135th).
