Basketball Recap: Stanton Takes a Loss

Stanton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 44-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eastland Mavericks.

Stanton now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Eastland, they moved to 1-13 with that victory, which also ended their 15-game losing streak.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Stanton will square off against Coahoma at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Coahoma will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Stanton surely won't give up without a fight. As for Eastland, they will challenge Early at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Eastland is on a four-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, Early a seven-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck will change.
