Recap: Water Canyon Wildcats vs. Beaver Beavers
The Water Canyon Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They fell 46-38 to Beaver.
When it comes to explaining why Water Canyon lost, one person who can't be blamed is Aaron Barlow. Despite the final result, he scored 16 points along with five steals. Barlow has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Dynonte Blackmore was another key contributor, scoring six points along with five rebounds.
Water Canyon's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-4. As for Beaver, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season.
Water Canyon will head out on the road to face off against Millard at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Beaver, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Kanab at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Kanab is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.
