Volleyball Recap: Galesburg Comes Up Short on the Road Against Burlington

Galesburg had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They came up short against the Burlington Grayhounds on Monday, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Silver Streaks of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-18, 25-7.

Taylor Adams paced Galesburg's offense, picking up four kills. Adams got some help from Evelin Guel and her ten assists. Sophia Kisler controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Galesburg wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Biggsville West Central on the 27th. As for Burlington, they will challenge Danville at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
