Recap: Tri-City Christian Academy Warriors vs. Arrowhead Christian Academy Eagles
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Berean Academy, the Tri-City Christian Academy Warriors were happy to have found some success on Friday. They took down Arrowhead Christian Academy 45-28. For Tri-City Christian Academy, this counts as revenge for the 45-14 defeat Arrowhead Christian Academy walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2023.
Tri-City Christian Academy was led to victory by Peyton Jacobsen and Grace Johnson. Jacobsen scored nine points along with nine rebounds, while Johnson scored 14 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Jacobsen is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season.
Anna Bright and Isabella Hernandez certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Bright dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds, while Hernandez scored eight points along with three blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Bright has scored all season.
Tri-City Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 11-2. As for Arrowhead Christian Academy, their loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-2.
Tri-City Christian Academy will take on Imagine Prep Coolidge at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Imagine Prep Coolidge comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 16 points in their last five games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Arrowhead Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to take on 91st Psalm Christian School at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. 91st Psalm Christian School is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
