Basketball Recap: Holy Trinity Takes a Loss

Holy Trinity was not able to break out of their rough patch on Sunday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were dealt a 78-50 defeat at the hands of the Mount Vernon Knights. The Titans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2019.

Holy Trinity now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Mount Vernon, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Holy Trinity will challenge St. John the Baptist at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mount Vernon, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against New Rochelle at 4:30 p.m. on January 15th.
