Football Recap: West Nassau's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Tuesday

West Nassau and Andrew Jackson squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but West Nassau had to settle for second. They took a hard 19-0 fall against the Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-0 two weeks ago.

Payton Jefferson threw for 41 yards on five of 15 attempts.

Andrew Jackson's receiving core played a big role in the win, headlined by Bre'Sharia Collier and Deziya Byrd. Collier threw for 192 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 75% of her passes while Byrd picked up 72 receiving yards and one touchdown. Collier also deserves a shoutout for her performance on D, making four total tackles and defending two passes. Malekhi Merritt made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
