Perris put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their undefeated season alive. It was close, but they ultimately received the gift of a 4-3 victory from a begrudging Perris squad. Given their advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 84th, while the Lancers are ranked 329th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Perris hit Lakeside with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Estevan Gonzalez, Isaias Cifuentes, Daniel Chavez, and Adriel Campos.

Perris' win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-0-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 15 goals over those three contests. As for Lakeside, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Perris will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Hillcrest at 5:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Lakeside, they will finish 2024 at home by hosting Temecula Valley at 3:00 p.m. on December 27th.
