Volleyball Recap: Curlew Beats Oroville for Their Fourth Straight Win

Curlew waltzed into their match on Monday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Oroville Hornets. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Curlew took every set by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-15, 25-11.

Annika Baker paced Curlew's offense, picking up six kills. Baker got some help from Ellie Calhoun and her 12 assists. Calhoun was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

The win got Curlew back to even at 9-9. As for Oroville, they are on a 25-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-14.

Curlew didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Cusick on the 28th. Oroville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
