Lee-Scott Academy waltzed into their contest on Saturday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. They secured a 64-59 W over the Handley Tigers.

Lee-Scott Academy found their leader in sophomore Barrett Cook, who went 6 of 10 en route to 17 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Grayson Haley, who went 5 of 8 on his way to 12 points.

Lee-Scott Academy pushed their record up to 16-1 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.4 points per game. As for Handley, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4.

Lee-Scott Academy and Chattahoochee County will round out the year against one another at at 10:15 a.m. on Friday. Lee-Scott Academy is facing Chattahoochee County at the right time seeing as Chattahoochee County is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Handley, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Central of Clay County at 3:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
