Brandon scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They fell 27-21 to the Petal Panthers. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.

Brandon didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Lahare Bolls and Elijah Morey. Bolls got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Brandon now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Petal, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Brandon is set to challenge their familiar foe Oak Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Petal will square off against rival Pearl at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
