Softball Recap: Friday's Win Is Muleshoe's 15th in Last 17 Outings

Muleshoe extended their postseason success on Friday against Lamesa. They put the hurt on the Tornadoes with a sharp 14-3 victory. Considering the Mules have won 16 matchups by more than nine runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Adalie Agundis made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits. Agundis was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, one triple, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Addilene Blanco was incredible, going 4-for-5 with one home run, four runs, and four RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March. Heaven McMullen was another key player, going 2-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI.

Muleshoe was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .441. They are a perfect 17-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Muleshoe has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 17 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-8 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. As for Lamesa, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 15-10.

Muleshoe will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Tornadoes: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
