Baseball Recap: Valley Central Comes Up Short

Valley Central managed to slip by Goshen Central the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Vikings lost 10-2 to the Gladiators on Friday. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 16, 2024, but that streak is no more.

Justin Freeman was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one triple and one run. That triple was his first of the season. Mason McDonald was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Valley Central's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Goshen Central, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Valley Central will be playing at home against Middletown at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday. As for Goshen Central, they will face off against Beacon at 10:00 a.m. on Monday. The Bulldogs will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Gladiators surely won't give up without a fight.
